Makaton Signing For Babies and Families (MSBF) is now considered a legacy product and is no longer available for purchase as a training licence.
While MSBF supported many families and professionals over the years, it is now outdated in both content and format.
MSBF workshops may still be delivered by Licensed Tutors and Trainers who have previously trained in MSBF, and those individuals can continue to deliver the workshop in line with their licence. However, we are no longer accepting new MSBF Trainers.
We have since launched Makaton For… Early Years Settings, which reflects current best practice and includes our new Makaton For… branding, along with updated signs and symbols to support those working in Early Years settings.
How to access Makaton For… Early Years Settings
There are two pathways, depending on your role:
- Licensed Makaton Tutors can access the content by attending Makaton For… Tutor Training
- Those looking to train colleagues within their own workplace can apply for Makaton For… Trainer Training
