To become a Makaton Signing for Babies Trainer (MSB Trainer) follow the following advice below:
• Take part as a participant with a baby in MSB sessions or observe MSB sessions (without a baby)
• Attend a two day Makaton Beginners’ Workshop for Parents and Carers, Foundation Workshop or Level 1 and 2 Workshops.
• Attend a one day Makaton Signing for Babies Train the Trainer Training, you can find details of when these are running in the Find Training section of our website https://makaton.org/TMC/Learn_Makaton/WorkshopSearch.aspx
Makaton Signing for Babies Training can only be provided within Ofsted Registered Setting in England, the Education and Training Inspectorate in Northern Ireland, Education Scotland (previously Her Majesty's Inspectorate of Education) in Scotland, and Estyn in Wales and government-funded organisations and registered charities. A Makaton Signing for Babies Trainer cannot work freelance.
