Who is the Makaton App for?
Overview
The Makaton App is designed for people who use, teach or support Makaton in their everyday lives.
If you already have a paid UK Makaton Membership, simply sign in using your Makaton website account. If you don't have a Membership, you can start with a free 14 day trial. A paid Membership is required to continue accessing the app after the trial ends.
Who can use the app?
The app is available to UK Makaton Members with an active Membership. Simply sign in using your existing Makaton website account.
The app is suitable for:
- Parents, family members and carers
- Makaton Tutors
- Teachers and teaching assistants
- Early years practitioners
- Speech and Language Therapists
- Health and social care professionals
- Support workers
- Anyone using Makaton to support communication
What can I access in the app?
Depending on your Membership, you can access:
- Your Makaton Membership resources
- Signs and symbols
- Favourite resources for quick access
- New content and updates as they are released
Do I need a Membership?
Yes. An active UK Makaton Membership is required to sign in and access content within the app.

Is the app suitable for people outside the UK?
