Overview
If you've selected Delete Account in the Makaton App because you want to stop your Membership subscription, you do not need to delete your account.
Deleting your account does not cancel your Membership subscription.
How do I cancel my subscription?
If you started your Makaton Membership through the app, your subscription is managed by Apple or Google.
To stop your Membership from renewing, you'll need to cancel your subscription through your:
- Apple App Store subscriptions, or
- Google Play subscriptions.
Unfortunately, The Makaton Charity cannot cancel app subscriptions or manage them on your behalf.
I have cancelled my subscription. Can I delete my account?
Yes.
Once your subscription has been cancelled, if you would also like your personal data removed from our systems, please contact us at help@makaton.org and we'll arrange this for you.
Please note that deleting your account is permanent and cannot be undone.
Will deleting my account remove the app from my device?
No.
Deleting your Makaton account does not remove the app from your device.
If you no longer wish to keep the app, you'll need to remove it yourself by deleting it from your device in the usual way.
Deleting your account, cancelling your subscription and removing the app from your device are three separate actions.
